Our Hero- Superman
Superman is an incredible hero who only appears in the cinemas. He has good luck as compared to Mr Incredible because he does not get sued for saving people who do not wish to be saved. Superman is all against the science theories. He is anti-gravity, able to travel faster than bullets, indestructable(able to let bullets bounce off him harmlessly), very strong, and he shoots red light from his eyes. He is 'insane'.

How Superman has changed with times
Other than the looks(of course) of the men who played the lead role Superman, you should discover more. In the past, Superman(s) wore STRIKING BRIGHT red brief and cape(i suppose it represents good fortune). As fashion moves along with the times, actors wear less bright red underwear outside them and now Brandon Routh wears them in dull red(maybe they couldnt find a brighter red fabric or they aint superstitious now). And, if you have noticed, George Reeves, who filmed 104 episodes of 'Adventure of Superman' wore his rubbery undergarment all the way up to his waist while Brandon Routh wears it low-waisted(WOW, he's rather up-to-date!). Well, look carefully at their hand positions too!

Some things which never change
Though the changing fashion tells us that wearing an underwear inside-out is unacceptable, Superman still insists in his way. This way, he will always be the recognized man. The big 'S' on his super suit will forever be there, reminding little boys and girls about the singular-and-plural rule(another great deed! :D). He still owns that shiny gelled and neat hair with a bunch curled in the front. I wonder if his hair grows as fast as mine. Probably it doesnt grow at all. =( Plus, he always flies with one fist punching in front.

Why Superman is different from Spiderman
Of course they share some similarities! They both only appear in cinemas, are heros, have extraordinary powers and are well-liked. But... they have more differences! Did i mention height? Alright, i think Superman is taller(since he's insane). Spiderman is less insane because other than swinging around and behaving like a spider, he has a more romantic life. Superman is stiff and inflexible(isnt because of his build) in his own way even though he is in love with a journalist. However it is surprising that Superman has an offspring in 'Superman Returns'. Spiderman is more acceptable in life as he does not go against science theories. Spiderman does not wear red underwear while Superman does. Spiderman, as well as ultraman, batman and other 'men', mask their faces unlike Superman. Due to limited interest in their differences, i shall not list all the other noticeable differences.

Some things which are wrong
We know that Superman theories are always wrong, but there are still more things to criticize on. If you understand Edna Mode(super suit designer from 'The Incredibles') theory, then Superman is really wrong. Why? Edna Mode's theory is very convincing in telling people that CAPES are useless. Spiderman doesnt wear capes, so do ultraman, Frozone, and even power rangers. Capes are seen worn mostly by witches and wizards or the little magicians from MapleStory. It resembles something dark. :S I do not understand heroes' liking for capes. Besides, capes get in the way of heroes' work and may be very hazardous. ohyea, Batman wears cape, which explains why i think he's also quite weird.
Superman is supposed to be anti-gravity. But he lands with a loud thud. I am uncertain if it's the sound made by his boots or he could actually change mode.
It is indeed very hilarious to see that Superman does have a child. Probably the director is preparing for more movies for the next generation.

How should we classify Superman movies?
This, is very challenging. Is it in the fantasy or science-fiction category? Less of fantasy as there is no witchcraft or superstitions stuff. But science-fiction?! Not quite right. Even aliens have their own way of defining their own science theories but not Superman! :P

'The world needs Superman'
Though there are criticisms on Superman, the world still needs him. In the 'movie world', the world needs him as there are even more insane people who want to destroy Earth. For our case, Superman is needed to show how science theories go wrong. It also provides opportunities for couples to watch movie together(says the man, "I will be your Superman!" and there he's awarded with a kiss. ehrm?! o.o). It is entertainment for other people like you and me to kill time. It resembles everyone's childhood dream character--HERO! and the movies have more for us to laugh about. [:
