apart from the series of unfortunate events, there was still a group of people who cheered me up alot. they are my colleagues. i have never regret working as a book promoter with them. Sarah heard abt my case and she gave me her ez-link card. though i rejected her kindness, she refused to let me return her the card, so i had no choice but to accept. :) they didnt blame me for being late. the twins, though frightened by my swollen eyes, still helped me out and wished me merry christmas! haha, they're really cute. and the twins and i got a TSGS book each; russell lee even signed me a special msg. :D on top of that, we also get christmas presents. i want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. haha.

i cldnt be more unlucky than today. i had so much of the piss-me events i can film "a series of unfortunate events". blah
the starting of my "movie" was to wait for 20mins to pass something zr. then later i waited 30mins for viv whom i going out with. after walking so much in along orchard road, i realised i will somehow be late for work. i contacted with wr earlier on how to go to bukit panjang plaza from orchard...
i left viv at far east and decided to used the underpass to get across to wisma, then to realise i had came back to the same side. shucks. then i took the underpass again. i have only taken bus to orchard less than 3times and i cldnt find any busstops outside taka like wad wr had mentioned. after walking straight, i turned to hereen and board a bus. before the next stop, i realised it was going the wrong direction. >.<
so unfortunately i alighted at meridian and called wr and then walked all the way to park mall to take the correct bus. as if i wasnt unlucky enough, 15mins later i noticed the bus actually stopped opposite far east! omg, and i was alr late for work.
on the bus, every minute was precious, i hoped so much the bus cld speed because i was 30mins late then. BUT, so unfortunately, this auntie who checks the card came. i showed her my bro's ez-link card and she gave me trouble. HELLO, my brother and i, we are students? i even showed her my IC to prove that im a student and a sister of my brother. i told her i had misplaced my ez-link card and have yet to replaced another one! alright, at tht time i got so emotional i actually cried(why shld i not?). she said it's the "LAW"(and she pointed to me the line where it's written on the card, but i cant be bothered) which i thought was utterly ridiculous and demanded me to pay cash. wth? so i had to pay two times luh.
mayb that woman hasnt caught anyone for years, so had to get alot from me. i gave her a dollar coin and she recorded my brother's card! by then i had so many people's stares fixed at me-i was so embarrassed. she "kindly" explained that she is "very kind" as to not retain my card(probably cuz i was crying).she also said that if i had lost my card, i shld be paying adult fare. i cldnt stand any longer in the bus and got off when i thought i had to alight. and tht stupid person returned me 40cents change and a receipt. wth. i alighted and wth! i had to walk 2 mre busstops to reach the plaza!
HOW UNLUCKY CAN I GET?!
just ytd, something similar happened to me too. i paid 55cents when i board the bus and the stupid driver asked for my concession card. I DONT HAVE! he then asked me to pay adult fare. another LAW of theirs huh?! i paid all the coins i had left and still 15cents short. but he wldnt let me go. some very kind uncle helped me pay another 20cents more. i thanked him but he didnt hear. again, i was super embarrassed. the auntie was there saying that i didnt understand wad "concession card" is. O.O urgh. cant anybody see that im a student?! or they just want to be stupid?
coming back to wad happened today, my mum said she was heartbroken to hear me cry on the phone. i walked so much my feet had blisters(even though i waxed my shoes before i went out). alright, if that stupid auntie wanted to be so jing jing ji jiao, she she had the receipt printed that i paid 55cents when she took 60cents from me? and why did she charge me student fare when 'IM SUPPOSED TO PAY ADULT FARE'?
i just cant understand the 'law' today; and the drivers are just another bunch of bullies. who likes to have their concession card lost?

i am a freaking stupid person. i duno how to post pictures neatly on my blog. just 2 pictures and the text box was already in a mess! pity me.
i keep having funny random thoughts this few days. i must be having an extraordinary holiday that make me think abit differently. i am constantly complaining about being bored but i am still busy with many activities all day. so am i busy or am i bored? i cannot decide. i keep eating and sometimes i thought i have food phobia(or wad u call that). sometimes i hate blogging but sometimes i blog for 3days consecutively. i must be growing UP. heh, hopefully :D
though i have not touch homework and schwork-related stuff for a month, i am still not brain dead! i think and imagine more! when teacher told us to behave (zi lv), i will think of lu in goong. and then the whole plot. when i were in the terracotta museum, i had ideas of suspense plots like the soldiers suddenly coming alive and ppl were trapped in the pits blahblah. while watching the romantic play i was thinking of sadistic endings. HEH. in the end it turned out sadistic. muahaha.
2006 is coming to an end. so before i start being hardworking and back to a nerd, i want to spend this holiday doing many things. i want to go SHOE-SHOPPING and watch movies. wahaaha.

...CONTINUEDDAY FIVE 20/11all of us went to the sch in the north-same sch but different location. the site has more students. they have cafes and bookshops run by the students! :) attended lessons with the china students and their teachers also gave us lessons. they were professional, but listening to a 2hr lesson without break really bored me and i had to struggle to stay awake. not only me, but so are the rest. guess we're more active than them. the most interesting lesson of the day was learning how to tie CHINESE KNOTS. woots, that really needs good techniques. heh.
DAY SIX 21/11last day staying in beijing. awww. everyone was rather happy to leave the hostel cos the rules are very strict. LOL. i love
cherry tomatoes alot cos it's the best food in beijing. HAHA. attended lessons again in the north sch then to some literature museum. after that we only had 1HOUR TO SHOP THE WHOLESALE MARKET! urgh! there are so much to see and buy and we only get an hour?! we totally had not enough time cos tht shopping centre was smth like far east, and the things are cheap. the chinese shop owners are very hip. but it's difficult to haggle the prices. shucks. the whole of basement 1 sells shoes! OMG! and there were many many boots. i didnt buy any shoes, and i feel sorry for myself! ):
anyw, we had to rush back cos the students from the south sch planned farewell party for us. hee, it turned out that all the nanhuarians become super high. LOL. we danced and laughed like lunatics and they just stared at us. HAA
DAY SEVEN 22/11woke up early in the morning so as to catch the plane to XIAN. luckily the food this time on the plane is better. in fact,
XIAN'S FOOD IS SO MUCH BETTER, just that it's more salty. we went to see lots of tombs of different dynasty. LOL.
i LOVE DA TANG FU RONG YUAN! it looks like some garden from the han dynasty and the scenery is WOW! we watch the dance item. O.O all the costumes were so brightly and beautifully coloured and everything including the dance was fantastic. and i love the night scene; the buildings are lighted! then we watched the water fountain and fireworks! loooovvvee it.
ohyes, i duno why they put us in that hotel. it's like very "dirty". the first channel on TV was pron and there were condoms in the drawers. yucks yucks. and the toilet lights were super dim! =x
DAY EIGHT 23/11we went to visit the terrocotta soldiers site. as to protect the ancient stuff, they didnt dig deeper into the pits. the guide showed us some of the weapons. chinese in the past had real great minds. they actually used modern technology to prevent their weapons from rusting! mdm zhong said we must be proud of our ancestors! HEH, mayb i was the one who discovered the technology in my previous life! yes, and of course we visited qin shi huang's tomb. it's super big but due to the complicated traps, his tomb has not been exposed. it was super windy and i was almost freezing, so i didnt take much pics there.
we went to the hua qing ci where the royal families bathe in hot springs. super funny. ancient chinese(duno which dynasty) thinks fat women are pretty women. so you think there's such thing as 'DEFINATION'? :D
fangyu said her father(mr foo) called to tell her it snowed in beijing! WTH?! ):
WE DONT GET TO SEE SNOW! just our luck. haiz. nobody wanted to sleep and so most of us party in jingjing and eckerene's room.
DAY NINE 24/11after party everyone fell asleep and were late for the morning call. LOL. luckily we were not late for our flight to beijing. went back to the airport to have KFC. it was the healthy version of wad we have in singapore. haha. then after a few more hours wandering in the airport, we left beijing. all of us felt quite sad. according to the tourguide, it wld snow again at 6pm tht day. but our flight was 3pm. TOO BAD :(

ok! like i promised, i will briefly blog about my BEIJING XIAN trip. :D
pictures will come up later. i have to concentrate on writing. hee
DAY ONE 16/11i was extremely excited about flying on a aeroplane. sounds stupid, but since K2, i hv not taken flights to any countries. the flight to beijing was like 6hrs. the food sucks LOL and there was no movie or cards. ): ohyes, at tht time i was still struggling with a block nose. anyw, i was seating with chenyu and we got to know 2 juniors. haha. the weather in beijing was cool and wow! i pity the beijing ppl cos they see less of the day sky. at only 5pm, the sky is dark alr. anyw, we went to the hostel to rest and had dinner. the hostel was way better than i had imagined. the toilet was in very good condition except for the silly flush. hehi shared a room with juangshiow, may yan and chenyu(all the sec3s -.-) the bed was omg so damn high and the sides aint very useful. we didnt dare to sleep near the open end. HAHA.
DAY TWO 17/11it was day at the school! hee. their classrooms are very small compared to NHHS's. but wad's amazing is that all the students are super attentive and anticipative! they 'fight' to answer questions and they fold their hands on the table. no one actually sleeps in class. i like their morning excercise! everyone gathered in the field like some assembly session and the excercise along with the music. we also followed them! fun!!DAY THREE 18/11saturday! so there's no sch. we went sight-seeing. got up early in the morning. everyone was like half-dead. first place- THE FORBIDDEN CITY. omg, it's damn big. there are 9999 rooms altgtr! magnificent structures and carvings too. O.O we exited at the other entrance and reach tian-an-square. in beijing, almost everything is enlarged version of singapore's. heh. we saw the olympic countdown and then had lunch at a restaurant. beijing's food does not suit my liking at all. LOL.we later went to tea house for tea appreciation. the pee-pee boy was cute. hAHA.DAY FOUR 19/11THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA! i climbed a small part of it and now im a HAO HAN! heehee xD while climbing i was really afraid of how i wld feel when i climb down. heh. but i did it anyw, YAY! afterwhich we went to wang fu jin(beijing's 'orchard') to shop for 3 hrs. tht was a stupid plan cos the shops are all high-end and there's almost nthg interesting to buy! grr. we then had PEKING ROAST DUCK. there's live performance of the chef slicing the meat. the food's kinda ok but too oily. =x then we went to some theatre to watch drama show. the cast were so OPEN(they hug and kiss very suddenly). haha. their acting skills were great but im not really into their romance storylines.TO BE CONTINUED...
