3 DAYS TO MYE.i cant wait for olvls to come. this year, Os examinations are brought so much forward. i think it's good news. imagine you having your Olvls while your juniors are still having lessons and then while your holidays start early, they struggle for EOY exams! in the past, the seniors have to come back to sch during HOLIDAYS for exams... poor thing. but our period of misery will be so much shorter! woots.
BUT. i cant seem to cope with mid-year. i suddenly forget how to do derivatives! how terrible can that be! the subject which i can rely on most is probably chemistry.
bio is killing me. there are so many terms to remember. O.O those funny terms like SPHYGMOMANOMETER and HERMAPHRODITE are horrible, esp when my spelling sucks. then there are very similar-sounding terms like AFFERENT, EFFERENT and ARTERIOSCLEROSIS, ATHEROSCLEROSIS which damn confusing. i cannt stand it when biologists give a particular thing 2 names... eg. ATRIA is also known as AURICLES. it's even irritating when the terms have singular and plural forms... like MYCELIUM(singular) and MYCELIA (plural). sometimes people say that my name is hard to rmb or spell... they hvnt learn about bacteria like LACTOBACILLUS BULGARICUS and STREPTOCOCCUS THERMOPHILUS! LOL. ohh right... sometimes biologists try to make their/our lives easier by introducing abbreviations like FSH which stands for Follicle Stimulating Hormone.
URGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!on the contrary, chemistry is so much more interesting. chemists are kinder in a way such that they dont ask us to write AVOGADRO CONSTANT but instead, MOLE. wad a pretty short and familiar 4-letter word. :) even so, when we write mole as a unit, we can emit the E so that mole becomes a 3-letter word-
mol. HAHA. besides, chemistry is so colourful! transition metals, which have more than one oxidation state, changes colour as their oxidation no. changes. hee :D
i just received a second postcard from my cousin. I SO MISS HER! she has been to Vatican city and BARCELONA alr! haha. :D:D:D:D:D:D
since tml is a holiday, i shall attempt to 'mug'.

i rmb the first word i learnt to spell was APPLE. however it has a scientific name called MALUS. apple and malus both consists of 5 letters. but why did people choose APPLE to be used commonly?

SPORTS DAY!MINJIE IS MY JUNIOR AND SHE ROCKS! HAHA. she took part in the c.div 100m, 200m and 4x100m events and got gold for all that she had joined! CONGRATULATIONS! (guzheng members can run ok!)
had subway for lunch with leticia, chenyu, vivian and andrea. then we rushed to the clementi stadium. we were late for like 10mins. haa. i was low in confidence before the events started. vivian said she cld see that i was nervous on the bus! yea, my heart was thumping unusually fast and i kept having stomachache.
i didnt talk much before running the 200m dash. mommiie was having syf so she cldnt run =(. anyw i met competitors(stella and zi xin) who runs this event every year. that made me more nervous because this is the first time i took part in 200m! i tried to get rid of all those unnecessary thoughts. so when the gun banged! i sprinted all the way and there!
MY FIRST EVER GOLD TROPHY. :D (exc napfa award) i was so relieved and proud of myself. thankyou everyone who cheered for me. i heard you. :D while i was in the tend, i saw blim. she stared at me and i thought she wanted me to tuck in shirt. then she smiled, which got me stupefied. she walked towards and i bowed slightly, still wondering wad she wanted to do. and then she shook my hands and congratulate me. LOL! funny luh!
this year, prize-giving was between events.stella, zi xin and i went to gather and waited some time for our turn. then some tcher came to tell us that the VIP hadnt reach. O.O erm!
why do VIPS have a tendency to be late for such events?! LOL. yea, so i went back to class. soon, relays started. wenhang leticia andrea and i didnt make it for the top 3. we were the 4th. jajagagaaja... there were some slips when i took over the baton. i was the first runner for 4x400m. when i came back,
leticia was so pressurised that she cried! she got me so worried! but SHE DID IT! and she helped us each got a bronze medal! haha.. congrats to all winners!
the teachers' race was so popular so many pupils gathered near the track. we sat in some small tent. haha. there were a teachers who sprint damn fast! haha. when it was prize-giving again for the relays, we saw mryeo and told him we saw him warming up blahblah. he complained that he is fat and cant run. i suggested some environmentally-friendly exercises he cld do. HAHAHA :P the weather was like... cut out just for our sports day. at some times it drizzled but immediately after all the events, it really rained! WAHAHA...
after the rain i requested blim to take pics with 4/3. she was so ENTHUSIATIC!!! she was like "you want me to take photos with you all?! huh?! but im wearing this!" actually she was wearing capri and running shoes, so it was appropriate attire. -.- after photo-taking, she wanted us to run. the girls followed her and the guys ran in the other direction. Hee. that was so fun and memorable. we cheered for blim and kept screaming. anyw, mr pandian looks young today. HAHA. andrea and i actually told him that. he was so happy man! mdm surin didnt wear the NANHUA SOCKS that she had promised. she complained that they were too thick. LOL. teachers have to really exp wad we exp before they can really understand! yesss, the school's so stingy this year. it was scratched when i put in my bag!!! urgh. :( MRCHAN SAID HE WAS PROUD OF ME FOR GETTING A GOLD TROPHY IN MY LAST YEAR IN NH. :D im grateful that he discovered my potential in running two years ago! his encouragement got me onto the tracks! THANKYOUVERYMUCH MRCHAN! :D:D:D

COUNTDOWN: 17 DAYS TO MID-YEAR EXAMS(not paper 1s)
i dont like to be reminded of the mye. freaks me out totally. mye reminds me of the tests i have flunked recently, which is so disheartening. there are so much revision to be done and i have little motivation to study. my house is so noisy i cannot concentrate. i can simply open the text and stare at it blankly for a few hours. then after flipping through the notes and text, i'd realise i have not absorb much. booshitzxsszzsszsx. echng's load of hmwk drives me crazy and now i really detest tests and exams. there's not much joy in revising anymore. doing homework and attending lessons now to me are chores. no more anticipation. =(
yea. still, blim reminded us of the mye today. "YOU CAN COUNT YOUR DAYS TO YOUR MID-YEAR EXAMS." alright then. i shall try to make a conscious effort to score? though it's really tough cos i dont really get time for revision. cca, homework and everything. they're driving me crazy mann.
i felt tired the whole day but i survived through all the double periods answering the teachers' qns and flooding them with qns. in the class i was probably the one interacting with teachers... esp during chem. im surprised ms w actually rmb my name. anyw, i'd caught up with wad i had missed during the last chem lesson(when i slept for a period). i did not miss alot. she revised the extraction of iron again today. :D so yes, im back on track. then she went to to rusting of metals, which she claimed is a very complicated process.
i felt intelligent today. LOL. cos i could answer qns given by blim like... "for 2D, this locus is called a line. so wad do u call this locus for a 3D figure?" ok, the ans is
PLANE. sec 2 stuff i think. haha. blim gave us recap on emaths(rate of change, loci, probability). she has already assigned classwork for the next few days when she'll be on full-day courses. no free-period for us of course. but she's very reasonable, unlike ECHNG! im so sick of ec.
i think my revision has to be more productive. i have been trying to keep my hmwk on task. wad i need now is motivation and a condusive environment to study in.
ohh, apparently mr ng is mr yeo's best friend. he happily told us tht today. ahaha

i could barely stay awake throughout chemistry lessons. the lights were off, the screen pulled down and there was only one person speaking at all times. i was so bored and tired i cldnt resist... PLOP! yea, i slept. urgh...! however i was glad that i was able to answer her random qns after i regain conscious.
aint all she said the same? first about the
electrochemical series... then about concentration of ions which affects electrolysis of different products. there's smth about why electrodes are inert and why some are not for certain purposes. we have also learned what happens in electrolysis of aqueous sodium chloride, sulphuric acid etc. the cathode is connected to the negative terminal of the batt while anode is connected to positive terminal. electrons flow and are accumulated in the cathode. hence, the positively charged particles are attracted to it and negatively charged particles to the anode due to potential difference. reduction takes place at the cathode and oxidation at the anode. THERE! :D i listen while i sleep!!!(how did i do that?! LOL)sec4 life is exhausting. im dying. GWARRR. hmwk is piling and im doing them now, with less conscious effort. besides, there're intolerant teachers like echng .... URGHHHH. wad's the point of completing assignments which are alr due? it's a straight 0, and there are no EXCEPTIONS even if you try to explain. siannnnnnnnn. everyday i can see those dark circles beneath my weary eyes. how to survive through lessons like that?!
anyw. sports heats was held today in NUS. trained for a while during lunch with Leticia and Andrea to get ourselves prepared. still, i was freaked out by the track when we entered the sch. 200m seems like such a long distance. BUT.. i was damn happy when i got 1st for the 200m heats! YAY! my first ever 200m individual event! i shld be able to enter the finals? ohh, mummy was not in the same heats as me. =x i will help her win! :D the relays were pretty ok. 2nd for both. wh, l and a were super tired and we decided to take the 4x400m easy. we got 2nd... but the first team 312 was so far in front of us. LOL.
i need to train...
